Tim Brown

Mr. Brown decided to teach agriculture upon being accepted to Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo. He started teaching at Tulelake High School in 1997. Over the years, he has taught students about the value of agriculture and led many to great successes in the FFA. Mr. Brown loves all the effort his members put into this program. He loves watching us use our skills he taught us and succeed. 

Tulelake's Coaches

Matt Hartung

Mr. Hartung has been teaching at Tulelake High School for 26 years. Prior to joining FFA as a coach, he was the Tulelake FBLA club advisor for 20 years. During his time in FBLA, his teams won several state championships and placed in the top 10 at national conventions. His experience in FBLA translates seamlessly to coaching highly competitive FFA teams. He has coached two state champion teams in AET Farm Recordbook and Website Design. 


Kyle Schaad

Mr. Schaad is Tulelake's newest ag teacher. He started teaching at THS in 2017. Previously he taught at Princeton High school in 2012 but did his student teaching at Tulelake High school. He graduated from Chico State with a major in Ag science. Mr. Schaad coaches our Ag mech team and parli-pro team. He comes from a family of Agriculturalists, his mom was actually an ag teacher. He enjoys the opportunity to transfer all that he learned growing up and teach that to his students. He likes living in Tulelake because he loves the small town surrounded by agricultural and all the pride and support our small town has. He loves the students positive attitude and their drive to succeed.
