Alia teaches a range of courses, including Plant Science, Ag Science 1, 7th Grade Ag Science, Ag Leadership, Animal Science, and Veterinary Science. Additionally, she coaches Creed, Vet Science, and Vegetable Crop Judging.
An interesting fact about Alia is that she competes with her dog in hunt test competitions, showcasing her dedication to both animals and outdoor pursuits.
Kyle Schaad
Kyle Schaad has been an integral part of the chapter since 2017. Raised in a family deeply rooted in agriculture, his mother was an ag teacher, and his father is an orchard farmer. In 2023, he was honored with the California Agricultural Teachers Association Teacher of Excellence Award. Mr. Schaad currently teaches Ag Mechanics 1 through 4, as well as Ag Manufacturing courses. He also coaches Ag Mechanics, Impromptu Speaking, and Parliamentary Procedure.
Outside of the classroom, Mr. Schaad is supported by his two sons, Jack and Charlie, who are actively involved in the daily operations of the Tulelake shop and can often be found working on any tractor they encounter. His wife, Laura, an alumna of Tulelake High School, is a State and National Champion in Agricultural Sales.
The Schaad family enjoys life in Tulelake, where the tight-knit community, surrounded by agricultural land, offers a sense of pride and unwavering support. Mr. Schaad particularly appreciates his students’ positive attitudes and their strong drive to succeed.
